Ms Toni Maloney

Born in The Netherlands, Toni immigrated with her family to Indonesia after the Second World War and later immigrated to Australia with the family in 1950.

Toni was  educated in NSW, obtaining her leaving certificate and went on to become a Queen's guide and worked with handicapped children in NSW. Later, Toni trained as a Secretary and worked for the 4th Naval Board Member,Canberra. After moving to Tasmania in 1962, Toni held various positions until appointed as private secretary to Myer managers from 1975 - 1981.

Toni continued her study at TAFE to upgrade her technology and computer skills before moving on  to work at the Launceston General Hospital as Executive Assistant to the Deputy CEO.

Toni was the first CEO of The Clifford Craig Medical Research Trust (now The Clifford Craig Foundation) and when retiring from the paid position, became a volunteer for  the Foundation, which she still serves. She was awarded Life Membership of the Foundation in 2012.

Toni works as a volunteer for many Launceston organisations including immediated past President of the Glenara Lakes Residents’ Association, and Vice President of the  Glenara Lakes Auxiliary.
